Athens, Georgia – [Chipped] feline found, safe and sound. [My] community has been super. The dainty fuzzy witchy wünder is back home after [what one can only assume was] a harrowing two month sabbatical. Claws. Out.

Athens, Georgia – I am currently doing whatever it takes to snatch myself out of a post-Christmas muck and mire. The time spent among humans/ people was fair to really good. Somewhere along the way, I contracted a yucky flu [which I am still working through]. Right now, hot green tea with profuse amounts of lemon and honey and the vinyl platters [below] for optimal wellness.

Athens, Georgia – There won’t be very much sourness or bewilderment from me on the year that was 2017. So sad if you did not enjoy it. But for me, I actually had a decent year for once. Deleting my Facebook account permanently at the start of 2017 helped me immensely.
With that said, it is New Years Eve and I am on my way out the door. I will be dipping in and out of my usual hangouts, ending the night at Go bar to ring in the new year and cut a rug.
Tonight’s outfit harkens back to the early 1970s, glam rock razzle-dazzle. I wanted to go with mixed textures alongside muted tones and insane metallic shine. The liquid silver long sleeved minidress, I purchased online. Although the material is thin, it surprisingly hangs just right [which for me is loose fitting]. The cut is simple which is why I fell in love with it. The black velvet tuxedo jacket is an Ann Taylor creation. It is another favorite piece in my wardrobe because it is a tailored classic. I purchased it secondhand for a little over fifteen dollars. The hefty 1940s vintage mink coat is sublime. It’s sad that it is falling apart. If I could get replicas made of it, I would in a heartbeat.
My hand-selected accessories are sharp and clean. The smoky grey pvc and metal wide choker is a ripoff of someone. Who that is? I don’t know [seeing everyone at this point in the history of creativity is copying someone living or dead. That’s just my take.] The rose gold metallic box handbag is just the most. Easy to hold, nice closure, just chunky enough for my jittery hands. Last but not least are a pair of black faux suede booties with silver embroidered stars. They are super comfortable. Absolute showstoppers for the feet.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Athens, Georgia – Feeling fine and mellow. Tonight, I dined out with a friend, stepping out in a deep green midi length dress with full mutton sleeves, orange velvet smoking jacket with floral embroidery, jet black gladiator block heeled pumps and black circular handbag with gold hardware. Costume jewelry worn was sparse.
I found out about home.made’s supper club through one of their posts on Instagram and had to check it out. I don’t dine out much yet have been to home.made a handful of times. For a two course meal at the advertised price, I was not going to pass it up.
In short: home.made offers delicious, not-too-pricey southern-American cuisine in a modern rustic, clean and spacious setting. Parking can be a bit tight. If you are disabled, there is only one space designated in front. The waitstaff is always pleasant. The dining room isn’t loud and you won’t feel claustrophobia immediately setting in. As for the food, home.made always have those dishes [or, items] that stay on your tongue and you want more of. Tonight’s meatloaf offering did just that for me.
If you live nearby [or, may be visiting soon], give home.made a try.
Athens, Georgia – Missing cat. Friendly. Talkative. On the runty side. Black feline adult [Six years old] She is an indoor/outdoor fur being. Has a tendency to take long journeys – up to a week long. As of this date, Ophelia has been out of the picture for three to four weeks. My best guess. She wears a thin gold lame collar with embossed tag.
Please, leave a message if you live in the downtown area and may have seen her or know someone who has spotted a cat of this description. Many thanks.

Athens, Georgia – Hurricane Irma gave my neighborhood, this jurisdiction, a light slap on its’ wrist. There was no electricity for close to a day. I dug deep, successfully securing a working c.d. player.
Featured are sounds by compact disc. This “playlist” – compiled of music and spoken word recordings I frequently listen to while behind the wheel. Sounds for when in darkness and in the light. Hoping for the best to anyone who survived its’ real crushing fury.
