While I am still pretty obsessed with Chance the Rapper’s Acid Rap and Coloring Book , there is this musical offering to break the spell: Los Angeles based, multi-instrumentalist, Thundercat’s Drunk . Not Hip-hop like Chance yet every track is golden.
The layers of sound and Drunk’s lyrical content show this dude has been paying attention. This is Tim & Eric + 1980s Yacht Rock on drugs in the forest.
So good, I’m dead.
